Dear Youtube: you're just not as cool as you used to be.

There needs to be some different choices regarding advertisements on the website Youtube. The Popular site has exploded in recent years and rightfully so. Anything you want to see that is educational or awesome, you can, and very quickly too. Anything you want to learn, you can. Often however, when you click on a particular video you would like to view, a mandatory advertisement ranging anywhere from 15-30 seconds will play. Sure, you can mute the sound if you want, but you just can't skip the thing. Isn't this one of the popular features of DVR? So we don't have to be bombarded with this anymore?
When I want my Bieber, I want it now.
In the film "The Social Network," advertisements are said to be, "just not cool." Well, Mark Zuckerberg was right with that idea. They just aren't cool. I think users would like to see some options like a skip ad button or an ad disable feature provided by Youtube. I think that this kind of site should be more about what the fans and users want.
When People navigate a site like Youtube, they don’t want to waste their time with advertisements, therefore, there should be more options provided by Youtube to get around them if a user so chooses, thereby creating a win-win for both the user and Youtube.

  1. My favorite advertisements are the ones they play before commercials or mover trailers. Advertisements to watch advertisements are only the coolest thing ever.

The only options to get around the advertisements would most likely be "Premium" paid accounts which would be free from advertising.

And if Mark Zuckerberg really did feel that way about ads, he should give his $2.4 Billion back to the advertisers.
